Foundation
The AI & Human Empowerment Global Connection Forum was established in response to a structural transformation in human society: the rapid advancement of artificial intelligence and its growing influence over economic production, political institutions, and social life.
Technological progress has always reshaped civilisation. Yet the development of increasingly autonomous and generative systems marks a qualitative shift. Artificial intelligence does not merely extend human labour; it reorganises capability, decision-making, and the distribution of economic value. As such systems become embedded in markets, governance, and everyday life, fundamental questions arise concerning agency, accountability, and justice.
"Our purpose is to align technological capability with human flourishing through rigorous inquiry, open debate, and institutional imagination."
Our Focus
The central concern of the Forum is the alignment of technological capability with human flourishing. In particular, we seek to explore:
- How intelligent systems reshape the distribution of economic opportunity and wealth;
- How institutions must evolve to preserve legitimacy and democratic accountability;
- How individual autonomy can be safeguarded in environments increasingly shaped by algorithmic decision-making;
- How societies may ensure that technological progress expands, rather than narrows, the conditions for meaningful participation.
The Forum does not advocate a single ideological framework, nor does it promote technological optimism or pessimism. Instead, it is committed to interdisciplinary examination across philosophy, economics, political theory, law, and the social sciences, alongside scientific and technical expertise.
A recurring theme of our work is the question of the AI dividend—the economic and productive gains generated by advanced automation and machine intelligence. As productivity expands through technological systems, societies must confront how these gains are distributed and how institutional arrangements can sustain social cohesion.
As an annual gathering, the Forum seeks continuity rather than episodic reaction. Each year focuses on a distinct dimension of the broader transformation underway while remaining anchored in one core inquiry: how can intelligent technologies serve human purposes within just and resilient institutions?
